240 teachers receive SPA certificates

The SPN 21-based workshop on Student Progress Assessment (SPA) came to an end with a certificate presentation to 240 local and international teachers from non-government, as well as government schools.

The certificate presentation took place at the Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Education (SHBIE), Universiti Brunei Darussalam yesterday.

According to a spokesperson from the Ministry of Education, "During the course, we saw the participants developing assessment objectives and schemes for specific subject, constructing tables of specifications for a range of assessment objectives and constructing valid and reliable diagnostics or formative assessment tools or instruments and test items for SPA, based on a wide range of assessment objectives."

The certificates were presented by the guest of honour, Dayang Hjh Norjum binti Hj Mohd Yusop, the Deputy Permanent Secretary (Corporate Service) at the Ministry of Education.
